What's up with Seattles Time on my iPhone?

Today I checked the time in Seattle on my iPhone and what I saw is that the iPhone does not display the time correctly on the digital and clock view. It only happens to the Seattle time - all other were ok.

iPhone in your Pocket! The iPhone Nano

What's Up GMail?

Over the last few weeks I encountered different problems with GMail. Most of the time I get spam emails with the same content - even when I mark this emails as spam - I get these sort of emails over and over again. The email has a zip file attached. For me this only happens on none GMail accounts that I setup to collect other pop accounts via GMail.

Did GMail silently disable the spam filter for none GMail accounts?

Below you see another problem that I got twice within the last week. It's an email that has been marked as spam some days ago and now it comes in again. This email has an image attached and - oh wonder - it shows me the image - although Google is hidding images -normaly- from unknown email senders. You can see it in the screen shot. "Images are not displayed" - I wonder whats going on here.

I Found a Bug Steve!

I do not know if anybody else found this - I am sure someone did - but I found my first bug on my iPhone - hooray. The bug happens when your homescreen is full of icons and you want to add another one. On my iPhone's Homescreen I have three additional buttons - one for Google Mobile, one for Accuweather iPhone Widget and one for the JiWire Wi-Fi Finder. So my homescreen is actualy full with buttons - I like that. When you now go to Safari navigating to any page, press the plus button to add a new bookmark but then press "cancel" in the dialog. Back on your homescreen you can see that the iPhone now added a new dot that lets you navigate to homescreen #2. But this homescreen #2 is empty - because you didn't add a new bookmark. Ok perhaps this isn't really a bug but if you don't like the two dots at the bottom of the homescreen you can reset this bug by simply tab and hold a button on the homescreen - starting to rearange buttons on the homescreen. Then click your home button and the dot is gone.

Btw. the second dot also appears when you start dragging buttons on the homescreen (shaking buttons). But it disapears when you didn't move any button to the second homescreen.

My First 24 Hours With My iPhone!

Yesterday I decided to buy an iPhone and this is my first post directly from my iPhone. So far I'm highly impressed and facinated about this thing and I learn to type faster on that onscreen keyboard by the minute. I am sure, soon I can write books on that keyboard without a problem - and without a Stylus. The overall presentation of the iPhone is impressing. This starts with the black box where it comes in. It looks like a jewel box rather than a box for a mobile phone. For me this is not a mobile phone anymore, it's a fantastic device that's ready for the future of human being. And of course it is a hit in the face for all other mobile manufactures out there that didn't learn a lesson in the last years. If you really want a device that is your friend when you are out the office or at the Kindergarden - the iPhone is your mate in any case - to compare: a Nokia feels like a dumb and ugly old fashion something. With opening the iPhone to external developers we will see a lot of great new applications for that baby soon. The iPhone is a device that is and will be your companion for all your needs. After so many years waiting for a device that is cool like the ones in Star Trek or Star Wars - I felt like a kid when I first hit the power on button. Steve, what a wonderful device!

A Save Place For Apples Time Capsule

Searching for a save place for your data on Time Capsule? Here is the trick, put it in between your books on the shelf and nobody will grab it. A much more better way would be to put Time Capsule inside a book - you need a huge book for this - perhaps a book about Windows - lots of pages.
